Tiffany and Sam – 19 May 2018

It seems to me that the best relationships, the ones that last, are frequently the ones that are rooted in friendship.  You know, one day you look at the person and you see something more than you did the night before. Like a switch has been flicked somewhere. And the person who was just a friend is… suddenly the only person you can ever imagine yourself with. – Dana Scully

These guys were RAD! I laughed so much during the ‘formal’ ceremony at random impromptu moments and it was a pleasure marrying a couple who were very much in love. Looking out at the congregation at Old Saint Paul’s, there were so many smiles and so much love for this couple. Everyone was just having FUN; such a reflection of Sam and Tiffany. Their epic secret vows were surprisingly well matched including the ditty “until we’re old and shit…”.

Sam and Tiffany planned their wedding from Auckland and it all came together in perfect symmetry. I was honoured to give some recommendations of some amazing local vendors – such as Scent Floral Boutique – and it all came together. From the classic venue of Old Saint Paul’s, they partied the night away at Foxglove on the Wellington Waterfront (with some detours for some amazing urban grunge photos). Foxglove went above and beyond for this couple and the band Ma Shot Pa made for a night of epic proportions that everyone will be talking about for many many years to come!

They chose my absolute favourite new discovery from this wedding season to take their amazing photos: Issac (and Amy) from Perspectives Photo + Cinema. I loved seeing Wellington thru their camera lens – check out their blog about this wedding here! [I must note that Perspectives are in no way new to the wedding scene, but, them being based in Auckland and me in Wellington, I first met them at Mel and Duncan‘s wedding earlier in 2018, and I FELL IN LOVE with their photos (and them, can I say that?!). Book them book them book them (I want to get married again to have them part of my day).]

Sam and Tiff: I smile when I think of your wedding day and the giggles we shared at the rehearsal and then in front of all your loved ones during the ceremony. Your photos are AMAZING but are actually a true reflection of how great you both are – individually and together. Can’t wait to hear where life takes you xx

Testimonial:

“We came across Miranda after a friend recommended her to us. From the first conversation we knew she was for us. Planning a wedding from out of town is tricky, but not with Miranda. She has a wealth of knowledge and connections with everything you would ever need. Our ceremony itself was absolutely one of a kind, which was really important for us. We wanted a day that reflected us as a couple, not a one size fits all. Miranda took the time to get to know us as individuals as well as a couple which was evident in our ceremony. She put a lot of time into perfecting our ceremony, the end result being the perfect balance of love laughter & remembrance. The ceremony is the most important part of you’re wedding day, it’s what you’re there for. We’re ever thankful for Miranda being the one to welcome us into married life.  You’d be silly to get married without her!
