Gemma and Michael – 23 February 2019

You have chosen to celebrate your union today by conducting a sand ceremony. The separate containers symbolise your lives before you found one another. We look forward to the future, to the family you will have together, and life filled with unforgettable moments. Please each take your sand, pour it into the container, and mess it around a bit as life can sometimes get a bit messy!

It should have been a tropical cyclone but the stormy weekend magically cleared to the most beautiful Wellington summer day. Gemma and Michael got their wish of being married at Gemma’s parents’ house in Lower Hutt in front of their loved ones, outside, in front of a beautiful pool and floral arch. They swapped Tory and Ko rings while Von Photography snapped away. Gemma’s entrance to Perfect by Ed Sheeran and Beyonce was timed to a T and it was a pleasure officiating this chapter in their lives.

Michael only had eyes for his gorgeous bride. Shout out to Gemma who put in a lot of work to be the best healthy version of her self that she could be for her to marry her soul mate. She looked stunning in her LUV Bridal Australia dress altered by Zowie Dee, with stunning hair by Aimee Nicholls (Tauranga based) and make-up by Jaymie Jarvis. Florals by Flowers Rediscovered.

Thanks for being an awesome couple Gemma and Michael; I can’t wait to follow your love story and see what fortunes life brings you both.

Warm fuzzy testimonial: “When booking our vendors I relied on my gut feeling when meeting. With Miranda we were looking quiet far in advance, but I had heard she had such a great vibe, was easy going and a complete professional. After meeting Miranda I knew she was exactly the right person I wanted to officiate our wedding. We literally talked like we had been friends forever! On the day Miranda was amazing, she was the additional support I needed and helped focus me when I was feeling emotional. The ceremony was written perfectly and will forever be in our hearts as part of one of our best days of our lives.”
