Yinny and Yong Le – 28 September 2019

“Do you 1-2-2-2 marry me?”
“Me 2!”

Where.Do.I.Start?! Guys, this wedding was everything! The venue, the smiles, the family, the creativity … THE LOVE. It was truly an honour to be chosen to marry these two amazing creative people.

Yinny and Yong Le have an amazing love story and choosing Pencarrow Lodge for this chapter of their story was an excellent choice. There was a lot of hard work put in behind the scenes and it all came together perfectly; special shout outs to Nat Foley @ivyparaso for the gorgeous floral arrangements and Brigid from The Milk Crate for the cakes. The girls looked stunning with makeup from Lydia Mae Makeup and hair by Antoinette Kavanagh. Ruka from Lucadot Jewellery designed Yinny’s gorgeous earrings.

We had the ceremony in the surpringly-windy-but-incredibly-beautiful forest at the side of the Lodge on benches and rugs from Summer from The Vintage Party NZ , then photos on the exposed front, with the ballroom transformed into the gorgeous oasis of forestry for the reception. Their wedding day incorporated both of their cultures, their families, and then forged forward with the creation of a new whanau. There were outfit changes AND, in a surprise move, Yong Le cut off his dreadlocks at the reception.

Honestly, you have to watch the video by Jared and Jay of Perspectives NZ and check out the photographs below by travelling photographer Jane Lee. You’ll see just a taste of this special day, including the groom changing his appearance in a very meaningful way by cutting off his hair as a magic trick. You’ll see how these two are surrounded by love. And you might just see a lucky celebrant shed a few grateful tears.

Testimonial: “We love Miranda for her bubbly personality and she was so easy to deal with. She put us at ease from the get-go, chased us up when things needed to be done, and basically calmed us down during our ceremony. Thank you Miranda for everything!!!”
