Wellington Anniversary Weekend 2020. I was honoured to be asked back by the Skinny Love Weddings gals to officiate FOUR pop-up weddings on the Saturday. The next day we married THREE more couples; my heart is incredibly full.
This weekend we were back at one of my favourite venues in Wellington – the Makara Chapel, and we got to scout the surrounding grounds and hall for fabulous photos. This is such a dream DIY venue and it was fantastic to share this space with some wonderful couples and their loved ones.
We managed to convince Anna of Anna Munro Photography to come back from retirement for one day only, and she aced it!! Sweet Bakery aced the cakes once again and florals were by Abaca.
Once again, the best thing about about this day was the amazing couples that we get to (finally!) meet in person. We had outfits made by the couple themselves; tears of joy during the ceremony; tattoos on display; nerves and dapper-wears; and weather that allowed us to move outside for the later celebrants without too much discomfort.
Looking back at these photos, we are so lucky to do this job and work in this wedding industry. 2020 has been an odd year but I can’t thank these wonderful people enough, they trusted us to make their day special before life turned a bit weird. Congratulations Kim and Kathy; Les and Mel; Heather and Will; and Hannah and Aaron. You are the best!!
