Siobhan and Peter – 11 May 2019

Today I choose you to be no other than yourself. Loving what I know of you, trusting what things I will discover. I will respect you as a person, a partner, and an equal. There is little to say that you haven’t already heard, and little to give that is not already freely given. Before you asked me, I was yours, and I am devoted to you in every way. I marry you with no hesitation or doubt, and my commitment to you is absolute.

Sometimes weddings stick with you for many months, even years, down the track and you find your mind wandering and wondering how a couple is today. Peter and Siobhan’s wedding at the Boatshed was one of those very special weddings. These two met at another wedding while Peter was travelling in NZ, and then hit it off so easily that, within 6 months of leaving NZ, he had booked his flight back to move here. It was an international love story and it was so so precious.

Not only was the ceremony recorded for Peter’s family in Europe, it was also recorded for another reason: They announced that in approximately 28 weeks they would become a family of three!! I don’t think there was a dry eye in the entire building and it took all my stamina to keep going with the ceremony and not become a happy emotional puddle!

Thanks so much for trusting me with your secret P and S, and for giving me the opportunity to officiate your beautiful wedding chapter. Check out Von Photography‘s photos below (it’s always fun working with David!)!

Testimonial: “We had our incredible wedding on the 11th May 2019, at the Boatshed in Wellington. The incredible Miranda Zander was our celebrant. She was extremely helpful from the very beginning and made the process enjoyable. We both decided to write our vows and Miranda guided us through the daunting process. I would highly recommend her to anyone that wishes to marry. She was a joy to have during the most important part of our wedding and made it so special.”
