Sarah and Michael – 16 February 2018

I love your calmness – you take almost everything in your stride, except for the occasional technological malfunction. I love that you continue to surprise me with little gestures of affection that come when I least expect them.  …

I love how much you love chocolate and that you awoke in me my inner chocoholic.

When friends get married, it’s a special time to be a celebrant. Not only is it incredibly rewarding being part of their special day but it also makes you ‘up your game’ because you want to do everything in your power to showcase your friends in love. Sarah and Michael’s wedding was particularly special as I’ve known them both as individuals and followed alongside their journey leading to their special day at Zealandia Sanctuary and Rata Cafe.Their ceremony was fullof love as well as a few snorts of laughter thrown in. I even tried to learn Lean on Me on the recorder (!!) for their ceremony but I luckily decided not to use it until I was suitably watered at the reception for an epic group singalong!

The photos by Sabrina Karin Photography (formerly Bohemian Simplicity) are absolutely stunning and I always love working alongside Sabrina (who was also our wedding photographer!)!! They used a bunch of wonderful vendors which really made their day amazing and special: cake by Sweet Bakery and Cakery, hair by Anna Hislop Jean Jacques, makeup by Amy McLennan, Sophie Voon dress altered by Zowie Dee, suit by Mandatory, stationary by Garbo Zimmer, Yvette Edwards on flowers and DJ Luke keeping us dancing well into the night!

Thanks to you both for trusting me to help on your special day. Definitely a career highlight and a wedding that I will always remember!!

Testimonial:
Having both known Miranda for several years, we were already well-acquainted with her warmth and eloquence. Once she agreed to be our celebrant, we got to see her smooth and unflappable professionalism. She answered every question we had – sometimes even before we had even asked it! She put together a beautiful ceremony, perfectly tailored to reflect what marriage means to us. After our rehearsal, my nerves almost completely disappeared because I knew that Miranda had everything in hand – including multiple contingencies to account for Wellington’s unpredictable weather. The ceremony itself could not have gone better! We cannot recommend Miranda highly enough!
