Jessie and Joseph – 6 April 2018

Your chosen colours represent you as individuals, and the strengths and commitment that you pledge to this married couple. As we combine and layer your sand, we acknowledge that you each helped shape Jessie or Joseph and you promise to strengthen your relationships; always strive to maintain nearness, strength, respect and healthy, positive communication with one another.

I love weddings that have a bit of twist in them to suit the couple; and this wedding had all the colours of the rainbow! From Jessie’s amazingly colourful dress,  to the sand ceremony for the bridal party, to Joseph’s luscious hair, to the amazing drumming of Narukami Taiko … this wedding was personalised and AWESOME. It’s hard to put into words the chills of anticipation we all had waiting for Jessie to walk down the aisle while her Japanese drum team gave her an entrance none of us would be able to forget.

The Boatshed on the Wellington Waterfront was the perfect venue for these nupitals and the couple incorporated their favourite local talent into their wedding day: Aroy Thai Express catering, Cakes by Esme did the amazing cake, Yoshi Sushi provided post-ceremony sushi, and sorbet from Kaffe Eis. Together with the handmade touches – including the bouquets – this was a truly colourful and special day of celebration. Macona Images captured the day perfectly as you can see in the sneak peek below.

Testimonial: Thank you for being the best celebrant. I’ve been recommending you to everyone I know getting married 🙂
