Amy and Mike – Dunedin – 16 February 2013

I met two lovely people during my university years in Otago about six years ago – Mike and Amy. I have had the immense pleasure in watching these two grow more and more in love and embark on challenging law careers. So it was without hesitation that I agreed to be their celebrant, back in Dunedin (where it all began) and during O’Week! This was my first church wedding and it was so so much fun – backyard cricket in the sun on Otago Peninsula? YES PLEASE!

When: Saturday 16th February 2013

Ceremony: Pukehiki Church, Highcliff Road, Otago Peninsula

Reception: Tautuku Fishing Club, Tomahawk, Otago Peninsula

Photographer credits: Olivia Turner Photography

Bride’s dressmaker: Zowie Dee

Suits: Wilkins Formalwear (Wellington)

Bride’s hair and make-up: Aart on St Andrew

Testimonial: “We had it so easy: our longstanding friend and the most energetic and helpful person we know was also a marriage celebrant.  What followed, we couldn’t have known but we are so thankful for it.  You wrote us (with all the of the input from us we could have ever wanted (and more!)) a beautiful ceremony that was meaningful and very “us”.  You incorporated (without blinking an eye) everything we wanted – someone commented on how much they loved the phrase “Amy and Mike, you may now kiss”.  Your guidance, all of your hard work and your ever-present sense of fun meant that we were very relaxed on our wedding day. Thank you!

To anyone that hasn’t had the pleasure of meeting/befriending Miranda yet, know that, as a celebrant (as she is in life) she is vibrant, modern, wise and oh so helpful.  Miranda is one of those people that makes friends wherever she goes, so if you’d like a friend to marry you, then pick Miranda!”
